Patrick Milward
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Patrick has been working as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner since 2024, providing evidence-based, person-centred support to individuals with a range of needs. Drawing on developmental and behavioural principles, he works collaboratively with participants, families, and support networks to build skills, reduce behaviours of concern, and improve overall quality of life.
Patrick is passionate about taking a holistic approach to support. He believes that meaningful and lasting outcomes are achieved by understanding each person’s unique strengths, goals, and circumstances, as well as the broader systems and relationships that shape their everyday lives. Through strong rapport-building and collaborative planning, Patrick strives to develop practical, individualised strategies that empower people to achieve greater independence and wellbeing.
Patrick completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland in 2023 and is currently undertaking a Master of Clinical Psychology. During his studies, he gained valuable experience working as an assistant within a private psychology practice and as a tutor across several university psychology courses, strengthening both his clinical knowledge and communication skills.
Outside of work, Patrick enjoys playing rugby league, walking his dog Edith, and getting lost in a good mystery novel. He is committed to continuing his professional development and is currently expanding his clinical skills through his Master's training, with the long-term goal of establishing his own private psychology practice.
