Louise Leclair
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Louise is an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who works with clients across the lifespan, with a particular interest in supporting children, adolescents, and their families. She brings a therapeutic, trauma-informed, and systemic perspective to her work in the disability sector and has extensive experience supporting individuals with diverse and complex support needs. Her areas of interest include autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, emotional regulation, and psychosocial disability.
Known for her warm, approachable nature and strong relationship-building skills, Louise prioritises creating safe, trusting, and collaborative relationships with participants, families, and support teams. She understands that meaningful change is often built through connection, consistency, and feeling understood, particularly for individuals with complex presentations or experiences of trauma.
Louise works collaboratively with families, support coordinators, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, person-centred strategies that enhance quality of life and can be successfully implemented across home, school, and community environments. Her approach combines evidence-based practice with a neuro-affirming and strengths-based framework, supporting individuals to build skills, increase independence, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
