Deborah Beal
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Deborah is a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner and Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience helping individuals navigate complex behavioural, developmental, and health-related challenges. Her approach is grounded in compassionate, person-centred care, with the goal of building independence, improving everyday quality of life, and reducing stress for individuals and their families.
Deborah provides specialised, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for individuals, families, and support networks facing a diverse range of challenges. This includes supporting people with neurodiversity, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, and traumatic brain injuries, as well as those with complex needs including psychosocial disabilities, trauma, and intricate healthcare requirements. She also develops practical Supported Independent Living (SIL) plans to help clients thrive in shared or independent accommodation, providing education, training, and professional debriefing for support networks where needed. For families, Deborah offers hands-on coaching, training, and emotional reassurance to help parents confidently manage challenging behaviours at home.
With decades of clinical and behavioural expertise, Deborah brings both a nursing background and specialist PBS knowledge to every plan she develops, helping the people she works with move toward greater confidence, stability, and independence in daily life.
